Rontal and DVTel Announce Co-Marketing Agreement
Modi’in, Israel  and Ridgefield Park, NJ  February 16, 2010 Rontal Applications, Ltd. (www.rontal.com), a pioneer and developer of innovative incident management and situational awareness systems, today announced the signing of a co-marketing agreement with DVTel, Inc., multiple award-winning market leader in the development and delivery of intelligent security solutions over IP networks . The companies will collaborate to market a unique joint integration suite of DVTel’s intelligent Security Operations Center (iSOC) and Rontal’s SimGuard to provide a comprehensive PSIM solution for Command and Control Centers.

The joint offering enables data-fusion of multiple on-site safety and security sensors, presenting the events on a geo-typical 3D model, and correlating all video sources automatically and geographically based, to the location of the event. This powerful integrated suite brings together the full capabilities of the DVTel iSOC video management system with Rontal's SimGuard Incident Management System to create a complete and unique PSIM solution that will enhance the organization's ability to manage real time operations and events as well as to improve its ability to debrief and investigate post events for future improvement.

The combined DVTel/Rontal solution has already been implemented in city-wide installation of over 10,000 end points including IP cameras, license plate recognition, tampers, facial recognition, and alarms.  City installations traditionally have multiple issues which include complex events, enormous data flow from multiple sources and different agencies operating in the same area.  This creates the need for understanding the bigger picture with situational awareness, cross agency consistency, and fast and decisive reaction to protect residents and visitors.

The integrated suite processes disparate video and other data sources via a rules based engine to create real-time situational awareness that significantly improves operator response to emergency and allows quick recovery back to normal operations.
By embedding a full GIS capability into the 3D model (indoor and outdoor), the iSOC-SimGuard system can automatically provide the operator with instant video from any 3D-GIS query or from any Real Time Location System's (RTLS) position as well as to provide any and most updated GIS data from a selected event, pointed out in a camera, in real time. Using this unique capability will also support forensic activity and post event investigation.

By integrating the advanced capabilities of both systems, video storage space is saved as the combined suite connects time and location defined events (alarms, e-logs, actions) to time and location limited video cases, saving only the needed data for easy future retrieval.
Using Rontal's SimGuard advance planning tool will allow enhancement of video deployment while lowering the amount of required cameras, by that saving on procurement and future maintenance costs.

“Rontal has developed integration interfaces to more than a hundred different sensor types and systems, such as access control systems, fire alarm systems, building automation systems, SCADA systems, face detection systems, gunshot detection systems, environmental sensors etc.. We can now tie in all the legacy systems of our customers, under one framework allowing our clients to maximize the use of their existing infrastructure” said Eli Gorovici, President & CEO, DVTel.

“ This unique offering of a smart integration between iSOC and SimGuard, is a response to the changing role of video surveillance within large end-user organizations. The incoming video feeds from surveillance cameras is now too vast that it has become humanly impossible to monitor all video. Our mutual offering addresses the growing demand for tools that can detect both alarms and behavioral anomalies, process their threat level and push that information to the correct responders via  a simple unified 3D geospatial event management,” said Roni Zehavi of Rontal Applications. “The combined solution of DVTel and Rontal reflects the creativity and vision of both companies, and their commitment to innovation.”
